ARE KALENJINS BEING TARGETED IN ANTI-CORRUPTION PURGE, AS CLAIMED BY SOME KALENJIN POLITICIANS?

There is a list doing the rounds of Kenyans being investigated and/or that have been asked to step aside on corruption allegations. This list has senior public servants drawn exclusively from the Kalenjin community.

1. Joe Sang – KPC Managing Director.
2. Newton Terer- NCPB Managing Director.
3. Ben Chumo- KPLC Managing Director.
4. Mrs. Lily Koros- KNH CEO
5. Mr. Ken Tarus- KPLC Managing Director.
6. Mr. Charles Tanui-KPC Managing Director.
7. Mr. Josphat Kipkoech Sirma-KPC Chief Engeener
8. Mr. Cornel Kiprotich- NCPB Finance Manager.
9. Mr. Vincent Cheruiyot- KPC Supply chain Manager
10. Mr. Wilber Kurgat- NHIF Finance Director.

First; is this a correct presentation of the anti-corruption fight or are these MPs trying to be funny?

Consider others arrested …

NHIF
1. Geoffrey Mwangi – CEO NHIF.
2. Gilbert Gathuo – ICT boss at NHIF.
3. Robert Mureithi – Webtribe boss (NHIF).
4. Nicodemus Odongo – Planning boss (NHIF)
5. Gibson Muhoho – Compliance Boss (NHIF)
6. Johnstone Ouma – Procurement Boss (NHIF)
7. Mudzo Nzili – Board member
8. Yusuf Ibrahim – Board member.KPC

1. Gloria Kafafa – Secretary KPC.
2. Billy Aseka – General Manager.
3. Samuel Odoyo – General Manager finance.
4. Nicholas Gitobu – General Manager procurement.

Second – unrelated – is there a reason why so many Kenyans from the Kalenjin community are in-charge of parastatals with such a high potential for corruption?

Third; could this be related, in some way, with the vicious resistance against President Kenyatta’s call for a lifestyle audit on all public servants that was led – interestingly – by the same small group of Kalenjin MPs now complaining that their community is being targeted?
